hello, dear friend!
I´m Kayna
Canny Crafting was born during a season when I deeply needed a creative outlet. After the passing of both my parents, I found myself navigating grief while also embracing life as a stay-at-home mom to two little ones—a newborn and a toddler. In the middle of full days, long to-do lists, and tender emotions, I needed something that helped me pause and breathe.
Lighting a candle became that moment for me.
There’s something grounding about it. Even on the hardest days—when grief feels heavy and motherhood feels overwhelming—lighting a candle helps me reset and gently remind myself: this day is going to be okay. I light one while doing chores, praying, or reflecting, and it sets the tone for calm, presence, and peace in my home.
That feeling is what I hope to share with you.

Canny Crafting is an extension of my blog, Canny Kayna, where I write about faith, motherhood, and trusting God through every season. I believe I’m called to live as a Proverbs 31 woman—working with my hands, caring for my family, and serving others while honoring God in my home.
Every candle is thoughtfully crafted with families in mind, including homes with children and pets. My prayer is that when you light one of our candles, you feel the same calm, reassurance, and gentle light that first inspired me to create them.
Thank you for being here and for allowing me to be part of your everyday moments.

about us
Meet Our Little Family
Hi, I’m Kayna, wife to my best friend PJ. We’re a small but growing family — blessed with one joyful toddler girl who keeps us on our toes and a newborn baby boy!
Our Church Home
We’re part of Home Church in Lathrop — a community that feels like family. It’s where we’ve grown deeper in our faith, learned to serve together, and discovered the beauty of doing life with other believers. If you’re nearby, come visit! You might just find your spiritual home here too.
Our First Babies
Before becoming parents, we were proud dog parents to two American Staffordshire Terriers — Lani and Snoopy. Lani has since crossed the rainbow bridge, but her memory lives on in our hearts. Snoopy, our 10-year-old gentle giant, still fills our home with calm love and is our toddler’s best friend.
